The Four Seasons

The Four Seasons is a series of four sculptures that come from a subscriber's poll suggestion.

Each diorama is designed as a standalone composition, but they are all tied together:

  • The circular frame they all share represents the cycle:it starts in spring, evolves in summer/autumn and completes the full cycle in winter.
  • The poses are symmetrical: we have two closed poses, one at the beginning of the cycle and one at the end.The middle ones are open and free.
  • We have two dynamic and two static poses. Static poses are for winter and summer, the main seasons.Dynamic poses represent change and are assigned to the intermediate seasons (spring/autumn)
  • Each season is assigned a different culture as a theme. There's no special reason for it, other than a personal visual preference of mine.
  • Each season has their own symbols, flora and fauna fit in the diorama.I really liked one of the ideas from the comments to the poll, which suggested a cultural theme to the seasons (you can still see the comment represented in Winter). However, instead of having one culture for all four of them, we will have one culture per season.

Autumn

"Autumn" is Slavic.
It features traditional Slavic clothing, accessories and a Samovar.
The base is decorated with symbols of Autumn, like mushrooms, pumpkin and with some bonus hedgehog and a squirrel.
I wanted to add even more symbols, but they didn't' fit with the already dense composition.
There is only one candle here: this is a prelude for the symbol of the next season to come (Winter).
Her pose is dynamic and open, as is the composition : Autumn is the season of change.
The frame here is almost complete: only one season is left in the cycle.

🎨 THIS IS AN UNPAINTED RESIN MODEL. You will need to prime the model prior to painting. All models printed in 12K resolution using Anycubic Water Washable HD Grey resin.

Size refers to the model's scale, from feet to eye level. Height measures from base to tip.

⏳  I will keep you informed of the progress of your order from beginning to postage. Too many sellers I've bought from personally don't communicate at all, even when they're sending replacements or issuing refunds.

📏Scale and what they mean - 32mm is the standard model scale for Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder and the like. The average human will be around 32mm from feet to eye level, while a dragon at this scale much much bigger. 75mm scale is my preferred scale, as the details really pop and it's much easier for me to paint. But it's up to you how big you want your models. 1/10 Scale is around 175mm.

Warning: THIS IS NOT A TOY. Models have small parts and can be a choking hazard for small children.
